Magellan Distribution Corporation is an ISO 9001:2000 certified, independent stocking distributor of board level electronic components, to include semiconductors, integrated circuits (IC's), and other active and passive devices. We assist clients in alleviating manpower and material costs involved in both the procurement of electronic components and the disposition of excess component inventory.

Established in 2001 and based in Boston, Massachusetts, Magellan's client base includes Fortune 1000 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), electronics manufacturing service ( EMS ) providers, and other distributors and resellers worldwide. In total, the Company's client network includes over 8,000 trading partners.

Magellan is focused on clients in the telecommunications industry whose products include: transmitters, switches, satellites, cable and connectivity products, antennas, and a wide variety of other devices and equipment.

This vertical market specialization is part of a deliberate corporate strategy to create significant buying and selling synergies (i.e. market liquidity) for our client network. Since clients who make similar products often have similar buying and/or selling needs, one client's component demand can often be matched directly with another client's excess inventory.

As an independent distributor, Magellan is not limited in the number of component manufacturer lines we can support. If we do not have a specific part in stock, we can procure it by sourcing via our international distributor network. In addition, we source excess and obsolete component inventory from our worldwide network of contract electronic manufacturers (CEMs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), often at a considerable savings over normal distribution pricing.
